TuneScope is an independent publication about AI music. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or paid by any tool we cover, and we never sell rankings.
Why we exist
AI music moved from novelty to production tool in about eighteen months — and the rules around it moved even less predictably. What you own, what you can publish, and what each plan actually lets you do commercially differs from tool to tool. Our job is to test the tools honestly and explain the rules precisely, with a source for every claim.
One rule governs everything we publish: if a claim can't be traced to a named source — a vendor's pricing page, a regulator's guidance, a court filing, or a reputable study — it doesn't get published.
How we review
- Hands-on testing. We generate the same brief across every tool we cover and judge the actual output — not the demo reel.
- Source hierarchy. Tier 1: primary law and official guidance (US Copyright Office, court filings, platform policies). Tier 2: vendor pricing pages and documentation, each with an "as of" date. Tier 3: reputable press, for background only.
- Expert review. Audio claims are reviewed by a working producer; copyright sections by an intellectual-property lawyer.
- Corrections. We fix errors, note them on the page, and you can report one any time.
